How can I get support?
Are you feeling a bit lost? Do you need help with one of the Yoast SEO products? There are multiple ways of getting support, depending on which product you use. In this article, we’ll walk you through the options.
Which product do you use?
First, we need to know which of our products you are using. This is because the kind of support we can offer depends on the type of product you’re using. So, click the type of product you’re using below to see the available support options.

Support for free WordPress plugins
Do you use one of our free WordPress plugins, like Yoast SEO for WordPress? Then follow the steps below to get the help you need.
1. Support page in Yoast SEO
To find the help you need with Yoast SEO, start by going to the support page in the plugin. You’ll find this page by clicking “Yoast SEO” and then “Support” in your WordPress backend. Once you’re on the support page, you’ll have access to various options that can quickly provide answers to any questions you have. It’s a great place to find solutions to any issues you’re facing.
2. Help center
If you need help with one of our products, the second place we recommend you to look is our Yoast help center. In our help center, you can find explanatory articles and guides on all (features) of our products and SEO in general. The help center is maintained on a daily basis, to help you solve the most common questions.
3. Support forums for free WordPress products
All our free plugins have their own support forums at WordPress.org. These forums are looked after by very enthusiastic and knowledgeable users of that plugin. You can find the support forums of the most used free products here:
How to use a free support forum
- Open the WordPress plugin repository and log into your account.
- Search for the specific Yoast plugin you are using.
For example: ‘Yoast SEO for WordPress’.
- Click on the plugin to view the details page.
- Click on ‘Support’.
- In the ‘Search this forum’, type a keyword or two about the issue you’re experiencing.
- Read similar topics.
Read topics that are similar to your issue to see if the topic has been resolved previously.
- Does your issue remain? Create a new topic.
If your issue remains after reading past topics, please create a new topic by repeating steps 1-4. Then, scroll to the bottom and fill out the new topic form.

Support for premium WordPress plugins
All of the plugins you purchase are called premium plugins (even if “premium” isn’t in the name of the plugin). Are you a user of one of our premium WordPress plugins, like Yoast SEO Premium or Local SEO for WordPress? Then follow the steps below to get the support you need.
1. Support page in Yoast SEO
If you need help with Yoast SEO, the first thing you can do is go to the support page in the plugin. You’ll find this page by clicking “Yoast SEO” and then “Support” in your WordPress backend. After you’ve reached the support page, you’ll find lots of helpful options to get answers to your questions fast, like answers to frequently asked questions, additional resources, and a quick way to reach our support team.
2. Help center

3. Request premium support
All of our premium plugins include a year of premium support. This means you can send us an email or use the help beacon at any time with questions about the setup and basic use of your purchased plugin.

The beacon in MyYoast
We offer a help beacon in your MyYoast account. Clicking the purple “Help” button at the bottom-right of a page in MyYoast opens a search to quickly find if we already have an answer to the question you have.
If you don’t see any solution to your questions, you can use the ‘Ask’ button at the top of the help beacon to securely send your question to our support team. Please, know that the ‘Ask’ button only appears after you searched for the answer yourself.

The beacon in Yoast SEO
There is also a help beacon on every Yoast SEO settings page inside your WordPress dashboard, marked by a purple circle with a question mark at the bottom-right corner.
In the help beacon, you can choose between “Ask” and “Answers” at the top. Clicking the “Answers” button will allow you to search for answers to your questions. If you didn’t find an answer to your question, you can click “Ask”. This will give you the option to securely send your question to our support team.
The support page in Yoast SEO
On the support page in the Yoast SEO plugin, you’ll find a quick way to get in touch with our support team. Find the support page by clicking “Yoast SEO” in your WordPress backend menu. In the menu that expands, click “Support”. Scroll down to find the “Contact our support team” button. This will give you the option to securely send your question to our support team.
Exceptions to premium support
Please note that premium personal support does not mean we’ll set up your plugin for you, but it does mean that we’ll help you with all your questions about the setup and basic use of the plugin you purchased.
If you have an addition to the Yoast SEO plugin, for instance, the Local SEO plugin, we will not support the Yoast SEO plugin itself unless it’s necessary for the Local SEO plugin to work. To get support on the Yoast SEO plugin itself, you’d need the Premium version of Yoast SEO.
Troubleshooting premium support
If the Need Help option is not showing, please ensure all plugins and themes are updated and look for Javascript errors.
Support for Yoast SEO for Shopify
If you’re using the Yoast SEO for Shopify app, you also get access to our customer support for questions about the app. Please note: for questions about your subscription, pricing, and your Shopify store, we kindly refer you to the FAQ on this page or to the Shopify support team. For questions about the Yoast SEO for Shopify app, follow the steps below.

If you click “Apps” in the menu on the left-hand side in your Shopify admin, you’ll see your Apps overview. Next to the Yoast SEO app, you’ll see a link called “Get support”. Clicking this link will take you to a help page explaining how to manage your Yoast SEO for Shopify subscription.
3. Request support
Purchasing Yoast SEO for Shopify comes with 24/7 access to our support team. This means you can send us an email or use the help beacon at any time with questions about the setup and basic use of the app.
